Trampoline and Tumbling

T&T classes have seen steady growth in popularity since the inclusion of trampoline as an Olympic sport in the 2000 Olympic Games.

Trampoline and Power Tumbling is a sport open to everyone. People of all ages and body types love jumping and training on trampolines.

The movement skills and the kinesthetic awareness (“air sense”) acquired in T&T transfer perfectly to other sports such as diving, cheerleading, acro-skiing, jump roping, sport parachuting, snowboarding, and martial arts.

Airborne in Longmont, CO, offers a variety of skill leveled classes as well as a competitive Trampoline & Tumbling Program. The competitive program is by invitation only. If your student feels this is something they might be interested in pursuing please talk to a coach.

T&T Level 1

Classes are 60 minutes long and are the entry level for our T&T classes for 1st graders & up. Basic skills are mastered on tumbling and trampoline. Students work on rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, and bridges on floor; basic jumps, control, and drop positions on trampoline. Specific skills must be mastered to progress to level two.

T&T Level 2 & 3

Classes are 60 minutes long. Students start work on back handsprings on floor and somersaults on trampoline. The basic skills learned in Level 1 continue to be perfected and new skills are introduced. In level 3 students begin to really focus on power tumbling, and begin to learn more advanced trampoline routines.

T&T Level 4

Classes are 75 minutes long, and it’s recommended to train twice per week (second class can be a T&T 3 class) to master new challenging skills. Skills trained in T&T 4 include double flips, twisting vs. spinning flips, and skill combinations. Students at this level are eligible for our competitive T&T program. Offered only in Fall.
