Dance Company

Strong Dancers. Strong People.

Philosophy

We believe by creating a positive and supportive learning environment, combined with high standards and quality education, we can create a culture of dance that builds necessary life skills including: respect, teamwork, responsibility and work ethic. By working as both athletes and artists, we hope to develop body, mind, and community. We strive to help students discover the power of hard work and their own love of dance, while learning how they can share those attributes with others.

What is the Airborne Dance Company?

The Airborne Dance Company is a competitive performance group for dancers looking to further their dance education beyond recreational classes. The Airborne Dance Company consists of different competitive performance groups: Mini Company, Premiere Company, Junior Company and Repertory Company. Membership is by audition and placement only. Dancers of the minimum age may audition for placement in one of the groups. They must have taken classes and have excelled in our recreational dance program for at least one year or have director approval to audition.

The Airborne Dance Company was restructured by Dance Program Director Alberta Shulman in 2018 into our impressive pre-professional, competitive team. Under her direction, the Airborne Dance Company has won multiple awards and distinctions, including the Studio of Excellence Award from ADCC, has sent Airborne’s first dancers to attend Nationals at NYCDA and Intrigue Dance Intensive, and has seen multiple students graduate and continue their dance education at renowned colleges, including Point Park University and University of Colorado, Boulder. We are thrilled to announce Drew Heflin as Airborne’s Company Director. Drew is a true seasoned dance pro, having performed on Broadway, Radio City and multiple National Tours! Drew also travels across the country to teach master classes and judge for Intrigue Dance Intensive. We are so grateful for Drew’s knowledge, experience and energy and we love having him on our Airborne team!
